Of the fall season when the trees begin to lose their leaves
Orange from green, and the smell of winter

Angie sends a postcard home,
asking if it has snowed

80 degree weather and she still wears a sweatshirt from school,
Amherst U is across her back
As we lay sleeping underneath a moonlight glow.
I got to know if she's satisfied

with her position in life
Did she change her mind.

I'll gladly admit this might not have been the best idea
But now we are here so lets try
To make the nest out of a bad situation
We can lay down and wrap up

In those warm wither clothes
and pretend we are home.
